Risk disclosure
Futures trading can lose you more than you put in
Trading futures, including the E-mini S&P 500 contract (ES), carries a substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone. Futures are leveraged: a small price move can produce a large loss, and losses can exceed the money in your account. Trade only with money you can afford to lose.
CruxTape is not advice
CruxTape's daily plan and review are general information, the same for everyone who receives them. They do not know your finances, experience, objectives or positions, and they do not tell you whether, when or how to trade. We do not recommend trades, forecast prices or place orders. Consider getting advice from a licensed professional before you trade.
What a record in the plan means, and what it does not
- It describes the past. A record counts what followed each setup in past ES sessions in our history, from December 2010 on. Past frequencies do not indicate what happens next.
- It is not a trading result. The record counts whether an outcome occurred. It does not include entries, exits, stops, slippage, fees or your execution, and it is not a profit or loss figure.
- Sample size matters. Every rate comes with its interval and its number of events. A rate can shift as more sessions are added, and conditions in the market change over time.
- It depends on the data. Errors in the data can change a record. We correct the records when we find one.
- Rules are simplifications. Each setup is a fixed rule. It does not capture everything a trader might see in a session.
Example charts are not real market days
The charts on this website and in the course are example charts drawn for teaching, and the sample day's prices sit on a made-up scale. None of them shows how any real session traded. The record lines in the sample day are counted figures from our ES history.
Delayed data and software
The plan and the review are built from exchange data delayed by about ten minutes, and the open update describes the 09:30 open at 09:45. Nothing in them is live. Software, data feeds and email can fail or arrive late. Do not rely on the plan or the review as your only view of the market.
Third-party rules
If you trade in a prop-firm evaluation or funded account, that firm's rules apply to you. CruxTape has no relationship with any prop firm or broker, and nothing in the plan or the review relates to meeting their rules.
