What you get each session: the plan, an open update and the review.

  1. 08:50 ET · email and page

    The plan

Yesterday's profile and its references, the overnight so far, and where ES is opening against yesterday's value. Then each of the six setups: whether it can apply today, what its rule needs in today's prices, when it can first be confirmed, and its counted record.

  2. 09:45 ET · page

    The open update

Three lines once the open is known: where the session opened against yesterday's value, which setups are in play, and the overnight range, now final.

  3. 16:30 ET · email and page

    The review

What each setup in play did, by its rule, including the ones that failed. Your running tally of every setup you have seen fire. Tomorrow's references.

Settled the same day

Profile teaching is often hindsight: a setup shown working on one day, after it failed the day before. The review scores every setup the morning's plan named, the same afternoon, so the failures sit next to the successes.

  • Same time, same shape

08:50 and 16:30 ET, the same sections in the same order, readable in two minutes.

  • A counted record for every setup

Rate, interval, number of events and a comparison case, counted over ES sessions since December 2010.

  • A tally of your own

The review keeps count of every setup you have seen fire and how each one resolved.

  • It never oversells

It states what happened and what followed in past sessions. No direction, no targets, no entries or stops.

A sample session, from the 08:50 plan to the 16:30 review.

The session and its prices are made up. The record lines are real, counted on our ES history.

SETUPS IN PLAY

  • A2 Opening away from prior value

In its conditions for an open above or below prior value (1,004.00–1,012.25). Final at 09:30.

In these conditions 80% [77 to 83] of 746 opens above or below prior value traded back into it that session, against 46% [43 to 48] of opens beyond the prior range (2010 to 2026).

  • C2 Failed IB extension

Applies to the IB that forms by 10:30; its conditions (the IB's width, the open type, the trend state, confirmed by 14:00) are read from then. A look beyond the IB is measured to its midpoint.

In these conditions 46% [42 to 50] of 539 failed looks reached the IB midpoint before a new extreme, against 15% [13 to 17] of accepted looks (2010 to 2026).

  • D1 Open drive

Classified at 10:30 from the first hour; its condition, first-hour volume not low, is read then.

In these conditions 78% [75 to 81] of 748 open drives closed on the side the drive held at 10:30, against 65% [63 to 66] of open test drives and open auctions (2010 to 2026).

  • D2 Failed extension beyond the overnight range

In its conditions for a look above the overnight high (1,014.75) or below the low (1,006.25). In play if the open is inside the overnight range; measured to the overnight POC 1,011.00.

In these conditions 46% [40 to 51] of 327 failed looks reached the overnight POC before a new extreme, against 12% [10 to 14] of accepted looks (2010 to 2026).

  • BP Breakout retest holds

In its conditions for a break either way. A break is a period close beyond the IB once it forms, or beyond the prior range (999.75–1,018.50) with the open inside it.

In these conditions 59% [55 to 62] of 853 held pullbacks made a new extreme before falling a point back inside, against 16% [15 to 17] of broken pullbacks (2010 to 2026).

  • B4 Failed break of the prior high or low

In its conditions for a look above the prior high (1,018.50) or below the low (999.75). In play if the open is inside the prior range; measured to the prior POC 1,008.75.

In these conditions 33% [28 to 39] of 304 failed looks reached the prior POC before a new extreme, against 8% [6 to 11] of accepted looks (2010 to 2026).

Record as of 24 Sep 2026: 3,959 ES sessions, 27 Dec 2010 to 24 Sep 2026. How to read a record line is under the six setups.

The six setups the plan tracks, each defined by a fixed rule.

The plan names which setups can apply today; the review says what each one did. The pictures here are example charts drawn for teaching, not real market days, with no prices. Letters are 30-minute periods, A from 09:30 ET.

prior range prior high prior POC · outcome level DDADADABCDABCDABCBCBCB
Failed look above the prior high Example chart drawn for teaching, not a real market day
B4

Failed break of the prior high or low, return to prior POC

The session opens inside the prior session's range. A period trades beyond its high or low (the look). If the next period comes back inside without extending the look, the look has failed. The record counts which came first: the prior POC, a new extreme beyond the look, or neither by the close.

initial balance (A–B) IB high new extreme · outcome level BBBABABABABCACACDCDCDECDEDEEE
Breakout above the initial balance, pullback holds Example chart drawn for teaching, not a real market day
BP

Breakout retest holds

A period closes beyond the initial balance, the prior range or a balance area of several sessions (the break). The next period to trade back within a point of that line is the pullback; it holds when it stays within a point and closes on the break's side. The record counts whether a new extreme came before a move of more than a point back through the line.

overnight range overnight POC · outcome level BBBCBCABCABCDACDADADDD
Failed look below the overnight range Example chart drawn for teaching, not a real market day
D2

Failed extension beyond the overnight range, return to overnight POC

The same failed-look rule, measured against the overnight session: the regular session opens inside the overnight range, a period trades beyond it, and the next period comes back inside without extending. The outcome level is the overnight POC.

initial balance (A–B) IB high IB midpoint · outcome level BBBBABEABEABEABDEACDEACDEACDACDCDCDC
Failed extension above the initial balance Example chart drawn for teaching, not a real market day
C2

Failed initial-balance extension, return to IB midpoint

The initial balance is the first hour's range. From 10:30 a period that trades beyond it is a look; if the next period comes back inside without extending, the look has failed. The outcome level is the IB midpoint.

prior value area prior high open CCBCBCABCABABAA
Opening above prior value Example chart drawn for teaching, not a real market day
A2

Opening away from prior value

At 09:30 the open is classified against the prior session: inside value, above or below value, or above or below the whole range. For opens above or below value, the record counts whether the session traded back into prior value and whether it closed inside it, beside the opens outside the prior range.

open AAAAAABABBBBCBCCCDCDCDDD
Open drive Example chart drawn for teaching, not a real market day
D1

Open drive

The first hour is classified by how often one-minute closes cross the open: never (open drive), once or twice (open test drive), or three times or more (open auction). The record counts whether the session closed beyond the open on the drive's side, beside the other opening types.

How a record line reads: D2

In these conditions 46% [40 to 51] of 327 failed looks reached the overnight POC before a new extreme, against 12% [10 to 14] of accepted looks (2010 to 2026).

Record

A record, not a forecast

A record describes what followed each setup, counted over ES sessions since December 2010. It is context for reading today's session. It is not a signal, and it says nothing about what the next session does.

The pilot: free for two weeks, for ten ES traders.

What you get

The plan at 08:50 ET and the review at 16:30 ET by email, and the open update on the page, every session for two weeks (ten sessions). Your own link to the page and its archive of past sessions.

What we ask

Open the plan and the review each session, and answer one short question at the end of each review: did you use today's plan? Yes, looked but didn't use it, or no.

Who it is for

You trade ES most sessions and read the auction from a TPO or volume profile. Any charting platform: the plan is a document, not a plugin. The ten testers are chosen from the sign-ups and told by email.

What it costs

Nothing during the pilot. If you stay on as a pilot trader, you pay USD 39 a month billed yearly (USD 468), or USD 49 a month billed monthly, for your first year, then the standard rates.

  • No signals or recommendations
  • No forecasts: no direction, targets, entries or stops
  • Nothing live: built from exchange data about ten minutes behind
  • No order execution: your broker handles trades
  • No reviews of your own trades or account
  • No copy-trading or leaderboards

What it costs: your first two weeks free, then one plan, yearly or monthly.
